Evening certificate course in Film-Theatre

The Centre for Performing and Visual Arts of University of Kerala has invited applications for three month long evening course in Films-Theatre. Classes will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm. Those having proficiency in performing arts with Plus 2 qualification can apply. Classes in subjects such as the culture of Kerala, theatre appreciation, direction, theatre acting, direction and acting in films & television, classical & folklore theatre tradition, film production and film appreciation. Classes will be conducted by experts in the respective fields. Course fee is Rs 3000. Admission will be granted following a practical test. 10% of the total number of seats has been reserved for SC/ST. Interested candidates will have to send their applications in plain paper to Dr Vayala Vasudevan Pillai, Director, Centre for Performing and Visual Arts, Faculty Guest House, Room No 781, Senate House Campus, University of Kerala, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram – 695034, Phone 94462 33819 with a self addressed envelope on or before 14th Jan 2008. Along with the applications applicants will also have to remit an amount of Rs 100 as DD from DCB/SBT favouring the finance officer payable at Thiruvananthapuram or challan receipt from university cash counter for the same amount.
